Congregational Leadership
Pastor John Anderson
Pastor John Anderson was officially welcomed into the Spirit of Faith Congregation as our new pastor in January 2020. Dr Anderson is a Mitchell native and graduated from Augustana University with a degree in religion. He received his Master's in Theological Studies from Duke Divinity School in North Carolina and his Ph.D in Biblical Studies from Baylor University in Waco, TX. Upon his return to Mitchell, he has served as a religion professor at various colleges and seminaries. In Pastor John's spare time, he enjoys reading, Shaun T workouts, video games and time with his family. He is an avid lover of Billy Joel's music and a devoted professional wrestling fan. He currently lives in Mitchell with his family.
Meet the Council
Spirit of Faith is led by a group of congregational volunteers. This group meets monthly and more often if needed. Members serve on the council for 3 year terms and are nominated via committee with final selection by congregational vote.
